It has been such a crazy few months. The biggest thing is that I was promoted. So, on top of trying to maintain this blog, participate in the Cannonball Read, and recap trashy reality shows for TVGasm, I was transitioning into a new job role.
And, when I say transitioning, I mean trying to do my old and new job until I could fully move into my new role. Once I did finally transition into my new role, we moved offices. So, now there is all of the extra chaos that comes with the physical move of a company to a new location.
I believe I am at a stable point now. We are in the new space (still working out the bugs), and Mob Wives (my primary show for TVGasm) is done for this season. I will be recapping Mob Wives Chicago (premieres on June 10th). But, I will also be resuming my Cannonball Read reviews. Plus, there are some freelance things that I want to make good on. Also, my library card expired. I’ve never lived in one place long enough for my library card to expire, so I had no idea that could actually happen. But, apparently, they do expire. I’ll be renewing tomorrow.
So, I guess this post is all about everything I have going on. Maybe, I am being kind of ridiculous with taking on so much at the same time. But, I have always loved a challenge.
Anyway, I have several reviews partially completed that I hope to get posted over the next few days. If, I don’t post the review here, I will definitely let you know when it has been posted at the Cannonball Read Blog.
The best way to find out if a new review has been posted (you know, if you are into that kind of thing), is to follow me on Twitter. If you are interested in my recaps of trashy reality shows, you should follow my recapper personality on Twitter, or just follow TVGasm. Since I tend to tweet to myself about a review or recap, following either of my identities on Twitter is probably the best way to go. But, following TVGasm, earns me extra brownie points – well, I’d like to think it earns me extra brownie points.
Either way, I am happy to be back in the writer’s seat again. My new position offers very specific types of writing, and I need this creative outlet.
Here are the reviews you can expect to see over the coming week(s) in no particular order:
- Little Women – By Louisa May Alcott
- Conversations with Tom Petty – By Paul Zollo
- The Tales of Beedle the Bard – By JK Rowling
- Audrey Hepburn: A Life in Pictures – By Yann-Brice Dherbier
- Whispers in the Dark – By Louisa May Alcott
- The Witching Hour – By Anne Rice
- A Room of One’s Own – By Virginia Woolf
- Birthday Letters – By Ted Hughes
- Behind a Mask – By Louisa May Alcott
- The Chronicles of Narnia (all 7 books) – by CS Lewis
So, that’s 16 book reviews that you can expect over the next month or so. Most of them will be coming over the next week so that I can feel like I am caught up on my work.
I just hope that I haven’t dithered too long and lost those of you who’ve been reading.
If you have suggestions for my Cannonball Read list, or just stuff you think I should check out, feel free to leave them in the comments.
