Please Pardon My Nerdishness

This is my new G5. Isn’t it beautiful? I just watched Napoleon Dynamite again last night, so of course I am tempted to use the word “SWEET”.

And, look at this:

The inside is even cooler than the outside. If you will excuse me, I am about to go off on a nerdish rant:

This beautiful piece of machinery has two 2.3GHz processors, 2 gigs of memory, a 250 gig hard drive, a DVD/CD burner, and dual fan cooling system. Plus, there is a bay for me to add a second serial ATA hard drive. What more could a girl ask for?

I just retired my last mac and it was 6 years old. It was running OS X Panther and besides needing more memory, it was still in great shape. As a matter of fact, I passed it down to a coworker who wanted to play around with OS X. I love how well Apple’s equipment holds up. The only problem is that this means I won’t get another new computer until 2011. Which I guess is really a small price to pay.
